My mom came to town this weekend to help me prepare for Adeline's birth. We were so incredibly busy. I think the only times I sat down all weekend were to eat or go to sleep at night. We started our busy weekend as soon as my mom arrived Friday evening. We took all four of our dogs for a walk, went to eat at Olive Garden, then went to Petsmart to buy food and treats for my three babies. We also bought Tulip a jacket, but it's too small. :(
Saturday morning we woke up bright & early and began our day. We started at Target where we bought some post-baby comfortable "around the house" clothes. Then we headed to the Promenade for more shopping. We started at Motherhood Maternity where we bought some nursing bras, pajamas, and two more comfortable outfits to get me through the next couple of weeks. We then headed to B&BW for shower hostess gifts. And of course, what's a shopping trip with my mom if we don't buy shoes? We finally stopped long enough for lunch, then came home to re-evaluate our shopping situation. We made a new list then headed to Fayetteville for some Maggie Moo's and Hobby Lobby. I bought some crafting supplies to keep me busy with a little project while I'm off work next week waiting for Adeline. We came home and started a load of laundry - my nursing bras & pjs, Adeline's bedding, & onesies she'll wear the first couple of weeks. By this point I was craving a steak, so we headed to Outback. We were up until 11 doing laundry.
Then we were up early again Sunday for church. After church we rested before my shower that my connection group from church gave me.

The beautiful centerpiece. Isn't that the cutest idea?
After the shower, we headed to Wal-Mart for groceries. We stocked up on some staples to get Jon and me through the first few days at home with Adeline. I feel so terrible for not getting any pictures with my mom. She worked so hard this weekend making sure everything is just perfect for Adeline's arrival. My bags are packed, now all we need is a baby!
FUN weekend! I have a little longer to go, but I've been trying to start doing a few of those things... at least writing some of them down on a list :) Can't wait to see/hear about your craft project for next week! I think you're smart to go ahead and give yourself a few days off from work before she comes (if she doesn't come early :)
