We started off our Memorial Day Weekend by going out to eat at Outback as a family. It was great relaxing and enjoying a meal at a restaurant with just my Jon and Adeline. (It was even better that we had a gift card.) Saturday, we did some yard work and lazed around the house. My mom and I found this metal horned frog at the small craft fair a few weeks ago. It was in my flower bed, but was barely visible, so I decided to paint it purple to make it stand out more and to further support my FROGS!
Rah Rah TCU :)
That night, we went over to Jarrod's for dinner. His parents were in town and Shane & Juliet came over as well.
Adeline enjoyed playing with her Aunt Juliet, and eating her necklace.
She then entertained everyone with her scooting, rolling, and sitting up skills.
Sunday, we went to church then had another lazy afternoon.
If you look closely, you can see her teeth.
We played in the pool some, then Nick and Brandi came over to grill hamburgers. Then, that night, Adeline took her first bath in the big bath tub (without the baby tub).
Do you think she has enough bath toys?
On actual Memorial Day, I worked at my old job to help out (they were shorthanded). Jon and Adeline had a daddy/daughter day and enjoyed it thoroughly. That evening, we went over to a friend's pool to swim. We couldn't stay long because of bedtime, but we had a great time nevertheless.
It was Adeline's first time in a big pool. She was a little nervous at first, but soon realized she loved it. Her favorite thing was when Mommy or Daddy would sneak up on her under the water then pop up & splash her. She would squeal and giggle and kick her legs. She soon learned how to smack the water with her hands to splash us. It was great.
Can you tell this girl loves the water? Nearly everything we did this weekend revolved around it! I hope everyone had a great long weekend.
