We had a pumpkin-filled day yesterday! Our church connection group always has a Fall Fellowship, and this year we decided to make it an all day function. Since we all have kids now, we thought it'd be fun to meet at a pumpkin patch. We met there yesterday morning and we all had a great time.
We petted some animals.
We picked some pumpkins.
We took lots of pictures:
Westin & Adeline
Group Shots (We all got a good laugh out of these. We know that in 10 years these pictures will bring back some great memories.)
Our Little Pumpkin
Then, Saturday night, we hosted our annual Pumpkin Carving Contest. I got the idea for this centerpiece from Southern Living. It was really cute for about the first 30 minutes, then they started to droop and fall and melt. :(
We also spiced it up a little this year by adding a costume contest.
Vietnam Vet, Hippie, & their love child (we got last place)
Wizard of Oz characters (first place)
Priest, Flo, & Ghoul (priest got 3rd)
Salt & Pepper (their girls were sleeping during photos)
K State Fans
Katie and her little pumpkin
The Schislers came later, but I didn't get any photos of them. :(
