Petit Jean

We went camping this weekend.  No, not in a tent, in a cabin of course!  We stayed in a duplex cabin with Shane, Juliet, and Murry.  We all had such a great time.

This was the view from our back porch.

We walked around outside our cabin for a little bit when we first got there while Annabel took a nap.

When Annabel woke up we took a walk around the Bear Cave.

This is Adeline inside the "bear cave."  She was saying, "it's scary!"

Jon & Shane climbed up on top of some big rocks for this view.

Juliet and I kept the kids down away from danger.  :)

That night we cooked hamburgers at the cabin while the girls played.  I love the look on Annabel's face in this one.  It's like, I'm going to get that ladybug from you, Murry!

Saturday morning we all ate a big breakfast and set out on the big hike of the weekend.  It was a 2 mile hike down to the water fall.  The mile going down wasn't bad at all.  It was the mile straight back up the mountain that about killed me.  Thank goodness we had backpack carriers for the girls!

When we made it to the waterfall, we rested and played for a while.

The hike down rocked Annabel right to sleep.

Jon and Adeline hiked a little further to get up close & personal with the waterfall.

By the time we made it back to the cabin you could ring out every piece of clothing on us all with sweat.  We all took showers and naps that afternoon.  Then we took one more little hike to see some "turtle rocks" and another cave.

We spent the rest of the evening back at the cabin celebrating Cinco de Mayo with tacos and good family time.  Shane and Juliet had brought their new telescope and we had so much fun looking at the Super Moon after the girls were all in bed.  It was such a fun weekend and we look forward to doing it again!
