Halloweekend 2011

We had a very busy weekend and we're all still recovering from it, but we had a great time.  Friday night was our connection group's annual pumpkin carving competition.  We ended up not actually carving any pumpkins, but we still had a great time hanging out.  We put all our kids in FNO at our church (except for Annabel) we actually got to enjoy each other's company.
The girls..it was a small group this year.

Saturday we went out to Jack Wills' to order Adeline a swing set.  I found this swing that I really wanted.  Adeline and I both nearly fell asleep in it.

Adeline's birthday present from us also came in, so Jon spent nap-time putting it together.
Adeline LOVES to jump!

That evening we went to a friend's birthday party.  Happy 3rd birthday, Kailyn!

Annabel fussed through the whole party, so we didn't stay long.

But Adeline loved playing in their sandbox.

We put Annabel to bed when we got home and Adeline got to jump some more.

Sunday we all went to church together as a family for the first time.

When Annabel finally looks, Adeline tries to escape.  :)

That night our church had a big carnival.  It was so much fun!  Jon took Annabel home after about an hour and Adeline and I stayed up way past bedtime petting animals, eating funnel cake, & riding rides.

 Petting donkeys with Westin
 Holding hands with Bailey
Driving a truck with Kellen

Monday Adeline had a party at Kids' Day out.  I stayed for a little bit so I could get some pictures.

When Jon got home from work, we carved a pumpkin.

She loved playing with all the goop.
She kept playing with the smile & saying, "Cookie, C"

As it started to get dark, we began trick-or-treating.

She wasn't nearly as shy as she normally is since she knew candy was involved!

It had been a long day for us all and trick-or-treating was not as fun as I had hoped.  Adeline was fussy from staying up late the night before and not napping and Annabel was just ready to be in her bed.  I'm glad we did it though.  It'll only get more and more fun every year.

I hope you had a great Halloween, too!
