What have we been up to?

This has been a fairly busy week for us. You all know about Adeline's 2 month appointment on Monday. Then Monday night I had bunco. I had so much fun. I play bunco with a group of women who are mostly all therapists of some sort once a month. I always look forward to it, but I was really looking forward to it this time. I hadn't been since Adeline was born and I needed a night of hanging out with friends. Tuesday I worked and some friends brought dinner over that night. Adeline got to meet a potential future boyfriend, Noah. He was really enamored with her, but she wouldn't even look at him. Jon told her to just keep that up..haha. Noah's one month older than Adeline, and it was amazing to see how well he controls his head and pays more attention to his surroundings. They change so fast! Wednesday, Adeline and I went to the grocery store and then to visit a friend in the hospital who just had twin girls! I can't wait until they're old enough for play dates. We are just going to have so much fun! Thursday, Adeline and I went to visit the people at my old work and then we went to my new work so I could get some paperwork done. She was such a good girl.

This week I have also started back working out diligently. I managed to work out every day this week! Most days I would get up before Adeline and get it over with, but today I slept in. I made her do her exercises while I was exercising. She did some tummy time and lots of kicking.

Two nights this week she slept from 8:30pm-5am, then back down after eating until 9am. However, last night she was very restless. I heard her in there moving around at 11, 2, 3, and at 4 I knew she was wide awake. I went in to check on her and she had kicked her legs free of the swaddle and as soon as she saw me peek over the crib she got a huge grin on her face and said, "aaah." Like, I'm so proud of myself, look what I did. It was so adorable I had to laugh, even though it was 4 in the morning. I went ahead and fed her and she went back down until 9 this morning. I guess I shouldn't complain. I know a lot of babies her age are nowhere near sleeping that long at night. It's just that once you get used to something, it's hard to be woken up several times a night again.

Although my life is so much harder now and I'm a lot more tired all the time, I absolutely love it. I look at my sweet little girl and feel like my heart might explode with the amount of love I feel for her. When Jon puts her down at night I almost get sad that it's going to be several hours before I can hold her again (I know that sounds ridiculous). I am so very very thankful for her.
